We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in their homes or at facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and residential homes.
- Travel by automobile to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams, following all company policies and protocols.
- Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring safe work practices and radiation safety.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment, determining exposure factors based on patient needs.
- Process and transmit images, maintaining accurate records and visit logs.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
- Take good care of company vehicles, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and others.
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
DispatchHealth is building the world's largest in-home care system to deliver trusted and compassionate care to all. Our emergency medicine and internal medicine trained medical teams are equipped to treat common to complex injuries and illnesses in the comfort of patients' own homes.
We work closely with payers, providers, health systems, EMS, employer groups, and others to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, hospital stays, and readmissions. Our acute care medical teams are available seven days a week, evenings, and holidays, and can be requested online or by phone.
DMI and PPX radiologic technologists travel locally to diagnose patients in their own homes or at facilities, using superior digital technology to expedite care.
