About the Role

Gannett Fleming is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team of professionals in the New York/New Jersey area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform timely and thorough inspections, adhering to Gannett Fleming's Quality Management Protocols (QMP)
  • Complete daily inspection reports in a timely manner
  • Represent clients and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearance
  • Be present on-site during contractor work activities
  • Report and take directions from the Resident Engineer
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, preferred
  • ICC/NICET II, III, or IV Highway Construction, ACI Concrete Special Inspector, Work Zone Safety certifications desired
  • 4-10 years of experience in bridge, tunnel, and/or aeronautical construction inspection
  • OSHA 30-hr certification
  • Divers license and ability to obtain high SWAC clearance, SIDA card, and/or Custom ID
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to work night and weekend shifts, stay late, or come in early as needed
