Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Heidelberg Materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical engineering projects from development to execution, providing expert technical support, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including cost estimates and resource allocation
  • Provide electrical technical expertise, including P&ID and instrumentation loop diagrams, control system design, and power distribution equipment selection
  • Manage projects with budgets ranging from $0.2 million to $50 million, including developing detailed project schedules and monitoring costs
  • Lead the electrical technical part in bid evaluations and contract negotiations, and monitor vendor performance
  • Direct contractors' electrical activities and on-site performances, and negotiate and approve/reject contractor claims

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology
  • Minimum 7 years professional experience in electrical engineering and project management, preferably in the cement or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including the National Electrical Code and MSHA regulations
  • Authoritative understanding of project management and engineering concepts and practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate project teams

Work Environment:

The role operates primarily in an office setting but will also operate in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions as dictated by project requirements.

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing to travel up to 50% and occasionally climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and enter confined spaces.
