Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at ProgressiveHealth, a leading provider of occupational and non-occupational health services. As an Occupational Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and improving outcomes for our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care services, including episodic, occupational, acute, and preventative health care to patients.
  • Conduct histories and physical examinations, prescribe medications and/or medical treatments based on evidence-based practice standards.
  • Collaborate with the client, nursing staff, and operations team to determine, execute, and implement protocols, formularies, emergency plans, and quality assurance programs for the clinic.
  • Be readily available to provide consultation in the provision of health care to patients.
  • Personally review charts monitored or written by each nursing staff member and certify by signature on any patient within thirty (30) days.
  • Provide guidance and education to additional clinical staff as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Unlimited license to practice medicine with active prescriptive authority for both legend drugs and controlled substances in the state.
  • Be able to maintain good standing with a valid United States Drug Enforcement Agency registration number.
  • Board-Certified in Family Practice, Primary Care, Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Not currently have any professional disciplinary proceeding of any state or federal authorities or to any disciplinary action of any medical facility in any jurisdiction.
  • Has never been excluded, suspended, or otherwise sanctioned by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party payor, nor listed on any state or government list of excluded individuals, parties, or specially designated nationals list as debarred, excluded, or otherwise ineligible for participation in government healthcare programs.
  • The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s).
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
