Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide protective services and response to protect people and property
  • Patrol buildings and grounds to identify and address potential safety hazards
  • Investigate incidents and complaints, gathering and analyzing evidence
  • Provide escorts and assistance to staff, visitors, and patients as needed
  • Assist with emergency response and crisis management situations
  • Prepare and submit written reports and logs of incidents
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of security or related experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including CPR/AED/First Aid and IAHSS Basic Officer Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of office equipment and software applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
