Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team at Children's Wisconsin. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide behavioral health services to patients and families with acute and chronic mental and behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental health risk assessment and treatment, evidence-based therapy, safety planning, and medical provider and team consultation.
- Work collaboratively with a team-based care model, including medical providers, social work, nurses, psychiatrists, and community partners.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of patients and families.
- Conduct routine behavioral health screenings and provide anticipatory guidance and early intervention for trauma and mental health concerns.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling, or related field from an accredited program.
- Professional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- At least 2 years of post-licensure experience or 2 years of supervised experience working with children and families while obtaining 3,000 hours.
- Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Certification and/or experience in one or more evidence-based/informed therapeutic practices.
- Two years of experience in a pediatric mental health or medical setting, including integrated health or crisis response.
