Position Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations. This position oversees the daily functions of the pharmacy, which includes managing outpatient services, mail order pharmacy, and the repackaging and distribution of medications to various health center locations. The Clinical Pharmacist also supervises Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring the precision and appropriateness of all prescription orders while delivering clinical pharmacy services to our patients.
Compensation and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure pharmacy operations and documentation comply with federal, 340B, DEA, CMS, and state regulations.
- Dispense accurate prescriptions and provide essential patient counseling.
- Oversee pharmacy support staff, including monitoring daily activities and assisting with performance evaluations.
- Support the mission of Nevada Health Centers and utilize available programs to help eligible patients access necessary medications.
- Maintain a general understanding of services provided at our health centers.
- Utilize drug information resources as needed for dispensing and clinical services.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment during operational hours.
- Exemplify outstanding customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Safeguard the security of pharmaceutical inventory.
- Provide drug information to healthcare providers within Nevada Health Centers.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for patient information required for dispensing and clinical services.
- Employ EMR communication templates for task delegation to appropriate clinic staff.
- Complete assigned tasks from the Pharmacy Director or Manager.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate actively in staff meetings as requested.
- Report any inaccuracies or compliance issues to the Pharmacy Director or Manager.
- Adhere to all pharmacy, EMR, 340B, and Nevada Health Centers policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services as necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be graduates of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (or a Bachelor of Pharmacy with a minimum of five years of relevant experience). Immunization and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) or disease state monitoring experience are required. Candidates must be professionally competent and licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, maintaining CPR and immunization certification is mandatory.
