The role entails executing a wide range of tasks to install, diagnose, repair, and sustain production and facility infrastructure and machinery in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance methodologies, aimed at supporting the site's operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct routine maintenance activities that require minimal supervision.
- Implement preventative maintenance as specified in equipment manuals.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain organized and clean work environments.
- Comprehend the functioning of fire and gas detection systems.
- Examine building structures and equipment to assess operational systems and identify malfunctions and necessary repairs, documenting findings and suggestions using a standardized checklist.
- Assist in shipping, receiving, relocating, storing, and installing production machinery.
- Perform safety inspections in line with company compliance requirements.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Manage an inventory of consumable supplies.
- Communicate the status of facilities and equipment to team members.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends.
In addition to the essential functions and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also accountable for:
- Meeting organizational standards regarding the quantity and quality of work performed consistently, executing all job-related tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Following company policies, procedures, and directives concerning workplace behavior while completing job responsibilities.
- The organization reserves the right to modify or assign additional duties to this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Bending, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as required by the job.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Experience:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in plant and/or facilities maintenance is preferred.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical training is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Experience in building and custodial maintenance, renovation, and repair tasks.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while adhering to high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with boiler systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
- Proficient understanding of water treatment systems in accordance with HVAC protocols.
- Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working safely with compressed gases.
Additional Information:
This position involves working with and in proximity to corrosive chemicals, flammable substances, compressed gases, and other hazards. Familiarity with safe practices related to these hazards is advantageous.
