KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the clinical supervision of the designated Clinical Supervisor and the administrative oversight of the Program Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Conducting functional behavior assessments.
- Developing and implementing behavioral intervention strategies.
- Training staff and families in the application of these interventions.
- Ongoing monitoring and adjustments to interventions based on treatment fidelity and client responses.
The Behavior Analyst will collaborate closely with direct care staff and caregivers, providing both consultative support and direct intervention services. This role primarily focuses on children exhibiting significant behavioral challenges, although assignments may extend to other appropriate clinical cases involving adults or children.
The individual will serve as a consultant within an interdisciplinary team, delivering services primarily in home and community settings, or in a day program/center as necessary. The Behavior Analyst will oversee the implementation of behavioral interventions by direct care staff, which may involve observation and consultation during various shifts to ensure effective support for clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and be licensed as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Michigan, with a minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience working with children in this capacity.
It is essential for the employee to maintain valid licensure to continue employment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license, current automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle during work hours is required.
For those serving children, retention of DCH qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional is necessary.
PREFERENCES:
Experience in clinical settings with individuals facing significant behavioral challenges, including expertise in functional behavior assessments and the development and monitoring of behavior intervention plans aimed at reducing and replacing challenging behaviors.
Veterans should submit Form DD214 to verify eligibility for Veterans' Preference.
