Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at The Lisbon Group, LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing complex engineering tasks with minimal supervision, developing advanced applied engineering skills, and supporting the development of fellow engineering and project teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments, solve complex technical problems, and deliver project results with minimal guidance.
  • Perform process engineering functions, including feasibility and optimization studies, process simulations, heat and material balances, process equipment sizing, and relief calculations.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, including DOT 49 CFR 193 and NFPA 59a.
  • Develop and check engineering calculations, drawings, and reports in accordance with industry codes and standards.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines and design teams to ensure quality and consistency in design documents and data.
  • Maintain and develop calculation tools, such as spreadsheets, for departmental use.
  • Support multi-discipline activities, work in a team environment, and contribute to broader project goals.
  • Support estimating and procurement, including vendor quote requests, evaluation, and validation.
  • Assist project management with budget and schedule development.
  • Support business development activities as needed.
  • Oversee and guide the work of fellow process engineers, checking their work and mentoring engineers.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering contracting and EPC project execution.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to generate, check, and approve core engineering deliverables in a timely and professional manner.
  • Experience developing and owning engineering reports, creating and documenting engineering calculations, summary reports, and PowerPoint slide decks.
  • Proven ability to guide, coach, and support the development of senior-level through graduate-level process engineers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively with vendors and clients.
