Job Title: Food Expeditor

Department: Back of House

Reports To: General Manager

Summary: The Food Expeditor serves as a crucial link between the kitchen personnel, service staff, and management, ensuring seamless communication and workflow. This role is essential for managing kitchen orders, upholding quality standards, and ensuring food safety compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Streamlines ticket orders to assist kitchen staff in prioritizing meal preparations
  • Guarantees that orders are not overlooked, forgotten, or delayed
  • Participates in the final assembly of dishes by adding necessary garnishes and condiments
  • Verifies dishes prior to delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
  • Supports service staff in delivering meals to patrons
  • Communicates vital information between kitchen and service staff
  • Organizes food storage in designated areas by sorting, labeling, and dating
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas, sinks, counters, display, prep tables, and equipment
  • Disposes of waste and removes trash from the premises
  • Conducts inventory checks of supplies and equipment to ensure sufficient levels
  • Maintains kitchen cleanliness and orderliness in accordance with health regulations
Requirements:
  • Capability to stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Experience or training in food preparation is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient reading and writing abilities
