Nurse Care Specialist

As a Registered Nurse at First Atlantic Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents. You will work closely with supervising physicians to assess and monitor residents' needs, ensuring treatment and care are conducted according to our facility's procedures. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing related tasks, and collaborating with nurses, doctors, and administrators.
Responsibilities:
• Cares for residents with compassion and empathy
• Exhibits strong clinical skills and demonstrates excellent bedside manner
• Records residents' medical history, symptoms, and vitals
• Updates resident charts and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Administers medication and other doctor-recommended treatment plans
• Complies with federal, state, and local nursing regulations, standards, and policies
Requirements:
• AS or BS degree in nursing
• Currently registered/licensed in Maine
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation
• Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills
• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
• Effective leadership skills and/or ability to invest in growing this skill
