About the Role

We are a Center City law firm, Baldante & Rubenstein, P.C., that specializes in representing survivors of sexual abuse. Our team is seeking a highly skilled Litigation and Trial Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation and trial experience for our Pennsylvania/New Jersey Practice.

The ideal candidate should be extremely comfortable working with survivors of sexual abuse and possess strong verbal/written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills. They should also be an active Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar licensed attorney in good standing.

The position offers remote work conditions and a salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will support sex abuse and other personal injury cases with limited oversight from senior attorneys.
  • They will be responsible for all phases of personal injury litigation, including drafting pleadings, engaging in written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and oral motion hearings and trials.
  • Additionally, they will appear for court conferences, depositions, mediations, communicate with experts, prepare clients for depositions and trials, argue discovery and dispositive motions, maintain communication with clients, and manage expectations.
  • The candidate will also collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to devise case strategies for optimal outcomes and manage assigned dockets of cases.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and in good standing.
  • 3+ years of litigation/trial experience is required.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws in PA and NJ pertaining to personal injury claims is necessary.
  • Able to multi-task, dependable self-starter with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently while prioritizing numerous tasks and completing them under time constraints.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
