**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Bothwell Regional Health Center. As a key member of our Neurodiagnostics and Cardiopulmonary department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic studies under the supervision of a R.PSG.T and the Sleep Disorder Center Medical Director.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in sleep medicine and polysomnography, with excellent communication and patient care skills. You will work closely with patients of varying ages and medical conditions, utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to monitor physiological and neurological parameters.
**Responsibilities**
• Introduce patients to testing environment and procedures, address questions and concerns, and attend to patient comfort and safety during procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedure, test all equipment, and record data including alert and sleep stage changes, respiratory and cardiac changes, and other parameters.
• Collect, analyze, and document data, demonstrating skills, competencies, and working knowledge of procedures and protocols.
• Identify potential emergency situations and respond appropriately, providing age-specific care in treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
**Qualifications**
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; approved sleep medicine program by Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or educational/experience equivalent preferred.
• Current CPR certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and registry with Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (R.PSG.T) and/or American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST) required.
**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and location.
