We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team at West Star Aviation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paint finishes on a variety of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Apply paint coatings to aircraft surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Mask and tape aircraft parts to prevent overspray and achieve precise designs.
- Sand and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring a strong bond between the paint and the aircraft.
- Operate electrostatic paint guns, pressure posts, and other specialized equipment to achieve professional-grade finishes.
- Work with a team to complete paint jobs efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest painting techniques and technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vo-tech school or on-the-job experience in painting or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license approved for airline travel (or a valid passport) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Pass pulmonary physical and respiratory fit test to ensure safe working conditions.
