About the Role

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team in Hialeah, Florida. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
  • Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Assist with the education and training of new physicians and radiologic technologists.
  • Participate in research initiatives and develop new protocols and radiologic imaging techniques.
  • Act as a team leader and monitor charging of radiologic procedures and supplies.
  • Provide in-service classes and training to staff members.
  • Obtain and examine orders for radiologic scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient identity and obtain necessary consents and education.
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of radiologic scanners and related equipment.
  • Adhere to radiologic protocols to maintain high-quality standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging program.
  • Valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
  • ARRT registered with ARRT certification in primary modality required.
  • Three years of relevant experience required.
