Aya Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team in Charlottesville, VA.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to work in our Sterile Processing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing medical instruments and equipment for use in the operating room and other patient care areas.
Responsibilities- Prepare and process medical instruments and equipment for use in the operating room and other patient care areas.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
- Restock and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and work areas.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in a Sterile Processing department or related field.
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
