Job Title: Biological Specimen Collector

Aegis Sciences Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Biological Specimen Collector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites for the purpose of conducting scientific testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the integrity of the collection process and ensure the accuracy of sample collection.
  • Ensure the integrity of each 'Chain of Custody' and sample, including sufficient sample volumes and proper labeling and sealing.
  • Utilize Electronic Lab Requisitions (ELR) FLUID for sample submissions and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Comply with all applicable safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in process improvements and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a focus on quality and confidentiality.
  • Experience in the medical field is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including the ability to send, receive, and monitor emails, and navigate web-based applications.
