Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at HealthAlliance Hospital. As a key member of our Pharmacy Department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and high-quality pharmaceutical services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate computer order entry of physician orders, prioritizing and minimizing potential for errors.
  • Clinically monitor patients' medication regimens for proper drug selection, dosing, interactions, and adverse effects.
  • Prepare and oversee IV admixtures services, including chemotherapy, TPN, and specialty IV products.
  • Check and update unit dose cassettes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in clinical pharmacy programs, including DUEs, ADR tracking, and antimicrobial culture and sensitivity surveillance.
  • Perform other pharmacist duties as assigned, including filling employee prescriptions and participating in QA/QI/CQI programs.
Requirements
  • Acute-care experience preferred, with comparable hospital pharmacy skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Current NYS license (Pharmacist) and registration with the State Education Department of NY.
  • IV-Admixture, hyper alimentation, chemotherapy, and computer skills.
