Job Description:

The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of SUNY Westchester Community College, is seeking bilingual (Spanish) professionals to join its team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will supervise patient care provided by students enrolled in the Home Health Aide (HHA) program while they complete their clinical rotation in nursing homes and/or assisted living facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise patient care provided by students in the HHA program
  • Communicate with WEOC's RN Director Coordinator on supervisory expectations
  • Coordinate with clinicians at the clinical site on student/patient assignments
  • Teach students in Spanish how to perform duties/skills in the clinical site
  • Evaluate students' clinical work and provide written and verbal feedback in Spanish

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • License as an RN in the state of New York
  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in home health care services
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented candidates

Salary and Benefits:

$74.31 per hour. No benefits.
