Fermentation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Fermentation Engineer to join our team at Valent BioSciences LLC in Osage, IA.

Our state-of-the-art 130,000 square foot facility serves as the manufacturing and quality control center for our broad portfolio of fermentation products.

As the Sr. Fermentation Engineer, you will be responsible for meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals set by VBS Management.

You will have expertise in fermentation science and biochemical engineering principles, with a focus on microbial fermentation operations in an industrial setting.

You will also mentor and lead Production Specialists and Interns, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and introducing new technologies.

• Support and comply with all safety and environmental policies.
• Analyze production data to recommend and implement lean manufacturing projects.
• Develop solutions to enhance fermentation, recovery, and formulation processes.
• Maintain and update production master batch records, SOPs, and training manuals.
• Troubleshoot and drive root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.

$110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.

This estimate is based on industry standards for senior-level positions in fermentation engineering.
