Feed Mill Technician

Job Summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Feed Mill Technician to join our team in Wakefield, Nebraska. As a Feed Mill Technician, you will be responsible for delivering, mixing, and managing feed for our farms. This role requires a Class A CDL license and a mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver feed to farms and manage inventory
Mix feed rations according to instructions from the mill manager
Assign feed orders and deliveries to proper bin locations
Maintain trucks and tractors, and perform minor and major repairs on equipment
Ensure accurate inventory and records are kept
Adhere to safe work practices and maintain sanitary conditions

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Class A CDL license
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and apply concepts of basic algebra

Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to dust and ability to safely lift 100 lbs. The ideal candidate will be able to work outside for long periods of time and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
