Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc.

The successful candidate will provide psychiatric services in a clinical setting, working with diverse client populations of all ages. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment sessions, including initial evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Prescribe and manage medication, order laboratory tests, and evaluate test results.
• Consult with clinical staff and other service providers regarding patient care and referral for follow-up.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and document services provided.
• Refer clients to primary care and community service providers as needed.
• Authorize involuntary detention and transfer to hospitals as required.
• Perform urgent and emergent assessment, including risk assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
• Authorize and/or deny services as appropriate in the performance of utilization review.
• Additional specialized services may be required, including treatment for eating disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and obsessive compulsive disorders.

• Physician and Surgeon license issued by the Medical Board of California.
• Certificate of completion of a psychiatric residency training program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or equivalent accrediting body.
• Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) in General Psychiatry or equivalent.
• Certificate of current Controlled Substance Registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
• Eligibility to participate in federally funded health care programs, as verified with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the Medi-Cal suspended and ineligible list.
