Morningside Center is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to provide high-quality food service to our residents. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe preparation and handling of food to meet residents' needs and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and ordering of food and supplies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and storage, as well as sanitation and hygiene methods.
- Understanding of arithmetic and units of measurement used in food preparation.
- Previous experience in an institutional setting is a plus, but not required.
Morningside Center is committed to providing high-quality care and services to our residents. We are licensed by the State of Missouri and certified by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
Our nursing home provides both skilled nursing services and long-term care services. We participate in the Medicaid and Medicare programs and offer individual apartments with kitchenettes.
