Position Summary:
The Rigger plays a crucial role in the safe lifting, hoisting, positioning, and transportation of heavy machinery. Rigging services for both commercial and industrial equipment are fundamental to our operations.
Key Success Factors:
To excel in this role, the Rigger must maintain focus, exhibit leadership qualities, and collaborate effectively within a team. Establishing strong relationships with colleagues and clients, along with clear communication, is vital.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lift, hoist, position, and transport heavy loads safely
- Set up and rig large-scale machinery
- Conduct tests on mechanical products or equipment
- Provide signals and directions to team members
- Manage the installation, maintenance, and disposal of batteries
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts; completion of OSHA safety training is required
- Complete all assigned tasks efficiently
Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary
- OSHA Certification in Forklift Operation is mandatory
- Certification as a Rigger is preferred
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and laws
- Familiarity with heavy hauling and crane operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, handling equipment, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and effective communication.
Work Environment:
This position involves off-site work at client locations, necessitating travel. Daily reporting to the A&A facility is required, and occasional overnight travel may be necessary for projects located further away.
