About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Beauty Advisor to join our team at Sephora at Kohl's. As a Beauty Advisor, you will play a key role in driving sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with clients and identify their beauty needs to provide personalized recommendations and drive sales.
  • Demonstrate expertise in beauty products and trends to establish credibility with clients.
  • Inspire clients through product demonstrations and applications to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty trends and products through ongoing training and education.
  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising and operational standards, including merchandise sets, tester maintenance, and department cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Support omni-processing within the department and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Support inventory management, including freight processing, back stocking, replenishment, inventory counts, and price changes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
  • Act with integrity and honesty, and foster a culture of teamwork and inclusivity.
  • Exercise good judgment and discernment when making decisions, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Support and execute safety and shortage reduction programs, following company guidelines.
  • Achieve multiple tasks within established timeframes and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, and maintain adherence to company safety policies.
  • Receive, understand, and proactively respond to direction from leaders and other company personnel.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for beauty and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and products.
  • Client-facing retail or service industry experience, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and driving sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence in a clear and concise manner.
  • Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
  • The ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
  • The ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (up to 8 hours).
  • The ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
  • The ability to comply with health and safety standards.
