Position Summary: The individual in this role will be responsible for the setup and operation of a diverse array of machinery utilized in the fabrication, stamping, production, and assembly of various components and assemblies across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment that facilitates the complete manufacturing process of components and assemblies into finished products.
- Maintain equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and quality, adhering to specified tolerances and work standards.
- Measure quality parameters of components and assemblies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage inventory transactions and facilitate the movement of materials (raw, work in progress, finished goods) to support uninterrupted operations.
- Assist in training and developing new operators.
- Follow work instructions and production schedules, selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for tasks.
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery, tools, programs, and processes to ensure efficient and high-quality operations.
- Verify work conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments such as gauges, scales, and micrometers.
- Adhere to IATF and ISO standards, processes, and work instructions.
- Operate machines and equipment relevant to the position's functions.
- Ensure processes remain under control, taking prompt corrective actions to maintain required operating parameters.
- Keep assigned work areas and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow company housekeeping and preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade or equivalent technical education or experience demonstrating advanced setup and operational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work schedules and quality standards.
