Job Overview

SMS Staffing Inc. is seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team. This is a permanent position with a competitive pay rate and a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems to resolve problems.
  • Design and implement modifications to resolve machine issues.
  • Perform daily systems checks to verify quality checks are working properly.
  • Document repair and maintenance activities and quality checks.
  • Participate in new equipment design and training others on job duties.
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal direct supervision.
  • Mechanical background, fabrication, welding, auto/car repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in machining and fabrication.
  • Ability to work from mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work with associates from all levels of the organization.
