Lead Steward

Job Summary:

The Lead Steward is a key member of the Redhawk team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our facilities. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and supervise a team of stewards to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Conducts pre-shift meetings with team members, delegates work assignments, and provides guidance and support to ensure a smooth operation.
• Staff Development: Assists in the selection, training, and evaluation of stewarding staff, and trains new hires on all aspects of deep cleaning and stewarding.
• Chemical Management: Manages and is accountable for chemical usage, and trains staff on MSDS sheets as required.
• Break Scheduling: Sets break schedules for team members by shift, ensuring adequate rest periods.
• Communication: Communicates as a leadership representative to support departments when necessary, and ensures compliance to standards set by management.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensures the work area is clean and sanitary, and complies with standards of health, safety, and sanitation.
• Quality Control: Monitors and records dish machine temperatures daily, and maintains knowledge of sanitation, dishwashing, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Supervision: Directly supervises all stewards and utility stewards on assigned shift, and performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
