We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at MRG Exams in Albany, NY. As a Veterans Healthcare Specialist, you will play a crucial role in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
About the RoleThis is an in-person position that requires working with patients and electronic medical records. You will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused physical exams on each Veteran. The findings from these exams will be documented electronically through the web portal.
Schedule: This is a part-time position with a set schedule, specifically Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am to 4pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform independent medical assessments on Veterans
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and forms
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions and examination results
- Meet productivity requirements, assessing 3-5 patients per day
Requirements:
- A current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
- Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems
