Key Responsibilities- Animal Care: Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of animal enclosures, prepare and distribute food and water, and observe animals for any signs of illness or distress.
- Data Entry: Accurately record animal information, including behavior, health, and feeding schedules, into our computer system.
- Animal Handling: Assist with animal restraint, transportation, and medical procedures, as needed.
- Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and provide excellent customer service to the public.
- Schedule: Regular, predictable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience: Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a shelter or animal care setting.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft products and able to learn new software quickly.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing situations, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide excellent customer service.
- Physical and Emotional Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle the emotional demands of working with animals.
- Competitive Pay: $16/hour
