As an apprentice electrician, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance and repair.
About the RoleThis entry-level position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including classroom studies, on-the-job training, and assisting experienced electricians in completing electrical maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, utilizing preventative and predictive maintenance techniques to ensure equipment reliability.
Responsibilities- Assist experienced electricians in completing electrical maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to aid in performing predictive, preventive, and repair tasks.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A basic understanding of electrical systems.
- The ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and work safely with minimal direction.
- High school diploma or GED with one year of experience in electrical maintenance and/or electrical construction or current Metallus manufacturing production employee in good standing.
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $50,000 - $60,000, depending on location and experience. Additionally, Metallus offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
