Job Title: Forensic DNA Analyst III

Marshall University Research Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Forensic DNA Analyst III to join our team. As a key member of our forensic science department, you will be responsible for conducting complex DNA analysis and providing expert testimony in court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced DNA analysis and interpretation of forensic DNA mixtures
  • Generate statistics and forensic reports
  • Operate complex laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Conduct administrative and technical review of forensic DNA analysis
  • Provide expert testimony in court
  • Supervise and train laboratory technicians and Forensic/DNA Analysts
  • Develop and implement specialized laboratory techniques and analytical procedures
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in complex DNA analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory operations and procedures
  • Ability to interpret professional journals and technical procedures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70,000 - commensurate with experience and internal equity. The successful candidate will be required to work in a laboratory setting and may be required to travel.
