The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient's needs.
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiate assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manage care of patients.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience required.
- 2 years of PICU experience required.
- BLS-AHA certification required.
- PALS-AHA certification required.
- NJ or Compact RN License required.
- Will be required to float to wherever is needed throughout facility.
- Will not take assignment but act as a PCT when floating to Adult floors.
- Will be required to float to Mother/Baby and Pediatric ED.
- Will be required to float to any other floor (depending on the needs of the hospital) SOLELY as a resource nurse/extra set of hands.
