Job Overview

Staff Today Inc is actively seeking a Recreational Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role involves working within a dynamic environment focused on mental health support.

Compensation:
$71.40 per hour
*1099

Position Details:
  • Area: Mental Health OT-10H Class: RECT Shift: 1 Start: 08:00 End: 18:00
Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient requirements
  • Review medical documentation
  • Engage in personal discussions with patients and their families
  • Implement tailored therapeutic programs based on individual patient needs
  • Stay informed about community and therapeutic resources to enhance patient care
  • Record patient progress during activities
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in the last 36 months as a Recreational Therapist
  • Strong ability to connect with patients
  • Empathetic and supportive attitude
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Current CPR certification (American Heart Association)
