Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced educator with a strong background in computer science or information systems to join our faculty. The successful candidate will have excellent facilitation and classroom management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse learners. You will be expected to maintain current knowledge in your area of expertise and utilize technology-based teaching platforms to aid students in developing competencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate courses assigned by delivering instruction in blended and online environments
  • Maintain current and active knowledge in the expertise area that is reflected in instruction
  • Communicate professionally, relate well, and share a passion for college success for diverse learners
  • Participate in weekly meetings with coaches and assessors to report student progress and obstacles
  • Promote student success by showing flexibility in delivery and work schedule to provide student support

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Applied Technology, Business Information Technology, or comparable degree; and 2 years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment
  • Experience with digital tools for teaching, teaching in either online or blended/hybrid formats is required
  • Teaching to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities strongly preferred
