Rail Terminal Container Chassis Trailer Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Terminal Container Chassis Trailer Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Pacific Rail Services. This role involves inspecting and analyzing malfunctions, completing repairs, and efficiently maintaining chassis and trailers.

Job Summary:
  • The Railroad Chassis Mechanic is responsible for performing quality inspections, replacing suspension components and landing legs, making documented repairs, patching/welding containers, changing tires, and performing air brake inspections and repairs.
About the Role:
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Have experience with welding and hostler (yard jockey) operations.
  • Knowledge of shop equipment is essential.
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • (Preferred but not required) Minimum 1 year's mechanical experience to get certified for FMCSA inspections.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented individual.
Salary and Benefits:
  • $55,000 - $65,000 per year in the first year, with opportunities for yearly raises.
