Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stockroom Operations Associate to join our team at Aavid Thermal Division of Boyd Corp. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, receiving and storing materials, and ensuring the timely disbursement of stored materials and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain prescribed stock levels of various materials and components to meet production department and laboratory needs.
  • Receive, store, and issue materials and components following established procedures.
  • Assign proper stock identification to received materials and components, and place them on stock shelves.
  • Accurately maintain inventory records and paperwork for accountability of stores.
  • Work from pick lists, written and verbal instructions, and the cycle count procedure with minimal supervision.
  • Notify the proper authority to reorder when minimum inventory levels are reached.
  • Alter storage locations as needed to accommodate changing conditions.
  • May drive the company van to pick up and deliver materials and equipment.
  • Perform all duties of lower-grade stock clerks and assist with other factory work cells and work areas as assigned.
  • Instruct and lead less experienced stock clerks in correct procedures and recommend improved stockroom techniques to the supervisor.
  • Support the 6S program by maintaining a clean work area and adhering to all Lytron safety rules.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
