At Volkert, we're seeking a skilled CEI Inspector to join our West Gulf Region team in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport, LA. As a CEI Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications
  • Test materials and review plans to ensure quality and safety
  • Monitor contractor operations and perform daily diaries to track progress and identify potential issues
  • Document pay records, perform construction calculations, and enter data into computer/iPad systems
  • Anticipate contractual problems and advise supervisors on necessary plan revisions or adjustments
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate work with contractors, subcontractors, and utility owners to minimize delays and disturbances

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of progressive inspection experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Physical ability to perform moderate activity, including walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and standing
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required
