Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the daily operations of our facilities and maintenance department. This is a full-time, salaried management position with benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing a team of 4 highly experienced professionals with extensive HVAC, plumbing, and electrical backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily duties and overall operations for the facilities department
  • Design and implement effective work plans, systems, and processes to ensure timely maintenance and repair of facilities and court sport athletic equipment
  • Utilize CMMS work order system (eMaint) to capture workflow demands, prioritize needs, schedule, and track resources to achieve optimal production within budget
  • Personnel management - hire, train, and develop employees, including employee performance reviews
  • Develop and oversee outsourced vendor contracts, including quality control inspections and implementation of effective document and record retention compliance
  • Be accessible to respond to all emergencies and assist personnel under charge in all facets of tasks performed as needed during off-hour emergencies
  • Responsible for maintaining systems that ensure PSA is in compliance with building safety and compliance codes and proactively managing required inspections and City ordinance
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, inclusive of all capital improvement project needs, forecasts, etc., and actively manage daily spend to ensure budgets are met
  • Drive to various facilities throughout Plano, McKinney, and Murphy to monitor projects, personally inspect facilities, repair projects, train others, etc.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Education - must have one or the other: 1) High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) in combination with Vocational/Technical Degree or 2) Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • General maintenance and repair knowledge with ability and aptitude to learn
  • Technically proficient with standard software applications used in this field, including CMMS work order system (eMaint), payroll and time keeping (Paycom), Energy Management Software (Compass), and e-mail and communication systems (Microsoft Outlook, word, excel)
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking a plus
Work Environment
  • While much of this role will be an in-office, desk job, this role will be required and expected to perform/assist with various tasks that may require physical effort, including climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and crouching
  • Required to work outdoors at times throughout the year in Texas weather and elements
  • Some tasks may require visual and order perception and discrimination
  • Comfortable working from heights, including rooftop repairs and working with lifts to reach 40ft ceilings
Work Schedule
  • Standard office hours/schedule: 8-9 hrs./day, 40-45 hrs./week, between 7:30am– 5:30pm, M-F
  • Must be able to be accessible and reachable and accommodate flexible work schedule to handle business need emergencies that may occur in early mornings, late nights, or weekends

  • Compensation range for the role is $75k - $80k depending on experience and credentials
