Job Summary

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Lead Technician to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining card access, security, and camera systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive security solutions for clients, including card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess client needs and develop customized security solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Perform system integrations, including integrating card access, security, and camera systems with other building systems as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare accurate documentation, including system designs, wiring diagrams, and service reports.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within the allocated time and resources.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) badge
  • Certified Security Professional (CSP) or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certifications desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining card access, security, and camera systems
  • Proficiency in industry-leading card access, security, and camera systems, including Software House, American Dynamics, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices related to card access, security, and camera systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols related to card access, security, and camera systems
Work Environment
  • Work assignments may vary based on client requirements
  • Work may be performed inside a large facility or in the field
  • Regular attendance following an established work schedule is mandatory
  • Ability to work any shift/designated hours required
Physical Requirements
  • May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces
  • Must possess the capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Equipment and Machines
  • General office equipment includes PCs/laptops, telephones, copiers, servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment
  • General field equipment includes hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial/motorized lifts, and test equipment
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly is crucial
Travel
  • Travel requirements will vary
  • A current passport is required for Overseas travel
