About the Position

This is a part-time position located in Downtown Portland, working as a routine teleworker. The successful candidate will be responsible for program development tasks associated with programs and contracts funded through the Department of County Human Services, Youth and Family Services Division using a racial equity lens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Parent Child Development Services, staying abreast of any new research or best practices that support the PCDS network. Review PCDS measures and program instructions annually to ensure that they still pertain to program goals and adjust them if necessary.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide consultation or technical assistance via phone, email, or in person to contractors to support program implementation. Provide one-on-one or small group orientation for staff who are new to the subject matter to ensure full understanding of program and contract expectations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Review output and outcome reports to monitor and troubleshoot any problem areas with contractor performance. Communicate issues with contractors, provide technical assistance, and follow up to ensure issues are addressed.
  • Communication and Meeting Participation: Participate in Early Learning Multnomah partnership meetings and work groups. Participate in other relevant community-wide meetings, collaboratives, or issues related to the two program areas and early childhood work more broadly.
Requirements
  • Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: One to four years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Skills: Ability to promote a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and appreciation of diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and values. Commitment to equity with a focus on racial justice. Ability to work with a team to achieve good outcomes for clients and program.
