Logistics Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Route Driver to join our logistics team at ICU Medical Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize their driving skills and logistical knowledge to support the efficient movement of goods and supplies across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials or packages using powered industrial equipment, manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and motorized carts, ensuring safe and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensuring needed products are delivered from the warehouse to production sites, minimizing delays and production downtime.
- Picking up goods/supplies/packages from production sites for delivery to the warehouse, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Planning efficient delivery and pickup schedules, utilizing knowledge of transportation routes and traffic patterns to optimize productivity.
- Inspecting and maintaining vehicles, performing routine checks on tires, brakes, lights, and fuel levels, reporting any mechanical issues to the Supervisor.
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance, warehouse logs, and shipment documentation.
- Preparing parcel and pallet shipments as required, leveraging knowledge of various shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Organizing warehouses/work areas, promoting a clean and organized environment, adhering to company housekeeping standards.
- Following all safety requirements set forth by the company, participating in regular safety training and drills to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assisting with physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of stock levels.
Requirements:
- Able to interact with personnel at all facilities in a professional manner, fostering positive relationships and open communication.
- Able to effectively and efficiently plan schedules with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
- Must have open availability and be willing to work overtime as needed, adapting to changing business demands.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of and ability to use computer systems, including those used for tracking shipments, inventory management, and scheduling.
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior experience driving a box truck, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED required, with previous warehousing experience and extensive forklift experience (ability to be certified to company requirements).
- Must be at least 18 years of age, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moving equipment, requiring attentiveness to ensure safety at all times.
- Must be able to sit for periods while driving the company truck, with occasional standing, walking, and bending.
- Extensive use of a forklift or other material moving equipment, must be able to operate such equipment for extended periods.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
