Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients by adhering to established protocols and practices.
- May provide specialized nursing care relevant to the specific area of practice.
- Secure patient consent for treatment and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Gather and document patient health history, primary complaints, vital signs, and health risk factors while evaluating disease conditions.
- Administer patient care in accordance with practice guidelines, care standards, and applicable federal/state regulations.
- Implement prescribed treatments and medical procedures, administer medications, and monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to address and resolve patient concerns.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, health maintenance, and management of both acute and chronic illnesses.
- Record patient assessments and interventions using established medical documentation systems.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics and oversee acute and chronic care management.
- May serve as a team leader for other nursing personnel.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing authority is required.
- Additional specialty certifications may be necessary.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, with acceptable credentials from recognized organizations.
Experience (required and preferred):
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a specialized clinic (e.g., Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, etc.) is required.
