Key Responsibilities- Inspect floors and furniture in common areas to identify cleaning needs
- Perform a variety of tasks to clean all types of floors, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpeted areas
- Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors with sanitizer; scrub floors to remove stains; buff and wax hard flooring types in resident apartments and common areas
- Clean upholstery to remove dirt, stains, and odors
- Clean and store supplies and equipment after use
- Maintain inventory of cleaning materials
- Safely operate various types of cleaning equipment
- Respond to resident requests and promptly report situations requiring follow-up
- Follow established procedures for use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Create meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating EMI behaviors
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks in resident homes and common areas
- Recognize and promptly notify supervisor or appropriate staff of low supply levels, maintenance problems, and unsafe acts or conditions
- Demonstrate responsible use and management of supplies, chemicals, equipment, and utilities
- Coordinate daily housekeeping and floor cleaning services with other departments
- Perform duties of Laundry and Housekeeping as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
