Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. As a PCU/Transplant Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on transplant recovery and mixed acuity patients.

Certification and Licensure
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required for this role.
  • A valid Kentucky RN license is also necessary.
Job Details
  • No block scheduling is required, and you will have the opportunity to take up to 5 days off, which must be made up at the end of the assignment.
  • Holidays require manager approval, and you will be required to work 2 out of 3 holidays.
  • The duration of the assignment is week-long.
Job Requirements
  • You must have a RN license in Kentucky and hold ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
  • At least 2 years of PCU experience is required, and you must be able to float to any PCU or Med Surg unit.
  • Preferred experience in Transplant and CVP Monitoring is also desirable.
Schedule Information
  • The shift is from 6:45pm to 7:15am.
  • You will have a weekly guaranteed hour of 36.
  • Every 3rd weekend work is required.
  • No call requirements are in place.
Unit Specific Information
  • The unit is 3 East - Transplant Unit, with 28 beds.
  • The patient ratios are 3-5:1.
  • The equipment used includes PCA, chest tube, CVP, Levophed, Telemetry, epidural, tracheostomy, and suctioning.
  • The EMR system is Cerner.
  • You must have PCU experience, and preferred skillset includes Transplant experience and CVP Monitoring.
  • The type of patients you will care for includes transplant recovery, mixed acuity, telemetry, and peritoneal dialysis.
  • The personality fit required is high-level functioning with high acuity patients.
  • The scrub color is Galaxy Blue top and Galaxy Blue or Black pants.
