About the Role:
The Nurse Residency Unit (NRU) is a critical component of the Med/Surg Nurse Residency Program at Piedmont. As a Nurse Residency Unit Coordinator, you will play a key role in onboarding new graduate nurses and providing them with a solid clinical foundation prior to transitioning to their assigned home unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Function within the framework of Piedmont's policies and procedures and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and Nurse Residency Coordinator to provide unparalleled support to nurse residents during orientation and transition to practice.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
