SolarWinds Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SolarWinds Engineer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a SolarWinds Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing SolarWinds solutions to monitor and manage network performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of SolarWinds solutions to monitor and manage network performance, availability, and security.
  • Configure and customize SolarWinds modules to align with organizational requirements.
  • Develop and implement custom SolarWinds dashboards and alerts to meet the requirements of the application teams, customers, and government program office.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and mitigate SolarWinds-related issues.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for SolarWinds, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of network data.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to SolarWinds configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, in lieu of degree 12 years of applicable experience will be acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience in SolarWinds monitoring.
  • DoD Secret clearance.
  • Currently possess DOD 8570, IAT Level II Security+ certification or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in scripting development.
  • SolarWinds certification (SolarWinds Certified Professional - SCP or equivalent).
  • Experience with IT service management best practices such as change, problem, incident, configuration, and service level management.
  • Experience with security process management and documentation.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
