About the Role

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Chemist to join our team of experts in the field of environmental consulting. As a Senior Environmental Chemist, you will play a key role in managing assessment and remediation design projects, as well as permitting and environmental compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the development of environmental remediation plans and designs
  • Conduct site assessments and investigations to identify environmental hazards and develop strategies for remediation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement business development strategies
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior scientists and engineers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or PhD a plus
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and regulations
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and clients in the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
