Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care to our pediatric clients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, educating patients and their families on home exercise programs, and maintaining thorough and timely documentation of treatment sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Aid in assessing patients' abilities and limitations through standardized and non-standardized tests.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, the use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for daily living activities.
  • Stay informed about best practices in occupational therapy, state and federal regulations, and professional standards of care.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and any changes in condition.
  • Prepare and update reports for patient evaluations, discharge planning, and team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Texas.
  • Experience in home health or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse client needs.
